The registration bulletin provides facts and figures on new charity registrations and highlights themes and emerging trends in the charitable sector. It draws on internal Commission information and casework as well as our own research.
The theme of the first bulletin is trusteeship. In addition to the register data, it includes findings from a survey of applicants to the Register of Charities which focussed on trusteeship issues such as recruitment, training and diversity. We also present some illustrative case studies that highlight governance challenges sometimes faced by new charities.
