Our 2008 research report Going Green: Charities and Environmental Responsibility (RS17) asked a number of diverse charities about their level of involvement in environmental issues. The report highlights the range of ways that charities are responding to environmental issues, either directly in the way they deliver their services or indirectly through their back office practices. It will hopefully inspire those who have not yet thought about this issue to follow suit.
The Project Report contains a range of insights on providing effective support to help voluntary and community organisations (VCOs) prepare for climate change. It also features recommendations for VCOs, support providers, funders, government and policy makers.
This ACEVO report is relevant to Chief Executives of any voluntary organisation. Whatever an organisation’s primary purpose, ACEVO believes that sustainability will be central to delivering its mission.
