Change your charity's name or governing document

Your charity's governing document is a public document and you must notify us if you have made changes to it, including the name of the charity.

Depending on the type of change you are making and the nature of your governing document you may need our approval. Our online form sets out the changes that we will need to approve and also provides you with the facility to upload your governing document.

If you are an NHS charity (defined) this route does not apply to you: please read Guidance on impact of trustee changes to NHS charities for guidance on how to proceed.
