Our counter-terrorism strategy

(July 2008)

We have finalised our counter-terrorism strategy, with approval from the Commission’s Board after taking into account the responses we received during the informal public consultation on our draft counter-terrorism strategy earlier in 2008.

The counter-terrorism strategy now represents the Commission’s formal statement of its approach to delivering its regulatory response to the threat of terrorist involvement or abuse in the charitable sector. The strategy sets out our four strand approach comprising: Awareness, Oversight, Co-operation and Intervention. We have identified benchmark indicators of success for each strand and will publicly report on progress as part of our annual reporting on the Commission’s compliance work.

The Commission's Counter-terrorism strategy is available on our website.

We have also summarised the public responses to the draft counter-terrorism strategy. See Summary of public responses to the Draft Counter-terrorism strategy with commentary from the Commission.
