SMALL CHARITIES: DISSOLUTIONS AND REMOVALS FROM THE REGISTER

DECLARATION: DISSOLUTION OF A SMALL REGISTERED CHARITY (CSD 1344B)

Notes to the form

  Before completing this form please read our guidance note: "Guidance on dissolving a small charity" (CSD 1344A).
  The information requested in this form will enable us to remove the charity from our Register as required by section 3(4) of the Charities Act 1993. Please ensure that the form is completed accurately because the trustees remain responsible for the decisions they have made after the charity has dissolved.
  Please note that if the charity’s income from all sources was not more than £5.000 in its last financial year, its registration has ceased to be compulsory and the trustees can ask for it to be removed from our Register before it is dissolved and without having to provide the information requested in this form.
  How should this form be completed?
  This form can be signed by:    
  (a) one or more of the trustees; and/or
  (b) some other person having a competent knowledge of the facts such the clerk or secretary to the trustees and signing on the trustees’ behalf.

    (a) The Trustees are satisfied that they have been properly appointed in accordance with the governing document of the charity

    (b) The charity does not have any property that is permanent endowment and has disposed of its interests in land in accordance with the directions of its governing document and/or the requirements of section 36 of the Charities Act 1993.
    (c) The gross income of the Charity in its last full accounting period was not more than £20,000 and its assets were valued at not more than £200,000 at the end of the same period.
